[Poll #440800]

Senate Meeting 02/17/05
I had to go to Senate last Thursday because the bill to allow the members of the ASUCD Supreme Court to write legislation like the rest of campus was up (incidently it was brought up that employees of the Aggie can't write legislation either. Thats their rule, not ours). The shadyness was well, forshadowed, by the infamous ASUCD burrito launching fire truck parked out front, as well as hordes of dressed up frat/sorority people milling about for the "Arrow Jam" competition to start.
Turns out legislation had been intentionally tabled and sidetracked so as not to come up this week so the Senators could scamper off to Arrow Jam (nearly (?) all of them belong to frats/sororities). Senator Janine Fiel ([livejournal.com profile] jayneenaa) gave them all a piece of her mind about this. While this was certainly dubious behaviour on the part of the Senate, it worked out well because I wanted to go with Kristy and her roommates to see Hot Hot Heat at Pop Scene in San Fransisco. Usually the Senate keeps me there as long as possible, so it was good for me they were in a hurry.
Also contributing to the shadyness was a supply of red bull that mysteriously turned up. But at least it was made available to everyone present. I think it was excess from Arrow Jam. Anyway, I thought I'd do a weekly poll to measure the perceived shadyness of the ASUCD Senate. This isn't to imply anything negative about the Senate, this is just our form of public opinion polling.

Pop Scene

Kristy and her roommates (Joe and Jadine) and already left for Pop Scene when I finally escaped from Senate, but they awesomely came back for me. So we drivemobiled on down to San Fransisco, which took like.. an hour an a half? Anyway, got there about half an hour before doors opened at nine. Show was cool. Dina ([livejournal.com profile] dinacloud) was there, as well as some other people who hate me because of my recent activities.
Quotes: "You can't dance with fucking seals!!" (Kristy, in response to what we could do if we couldn't get in), "don't knock my buns!" (regarding her "cinnie buns")

Just got back from the Berkeley MUN Conference (UCBMUNC) in San Fransisco (More MUN specific update on that here). I've been there since Thursday afternoon.

A friend who'd been in MUN with me back at MVHS happened to be in my committee, Raoul. I'm very glad we were in committee together, it was good ole times. Another graduate of MVHS, Joey Hanzich (currently attending Harvard) was also present, but he was in Security Council, and another from from HS days, Irina from Laguna Beach happened to be with Raoul's delegation. Raoul and I wrote an excellent joke resolution together.

While in SF I went to Popscene on Thursday with the rest of our delegation. Many members of our MUN program go every week. While there I also saw Dina ([livejournal.com profile] dinacloud) and Yadira ([livejournal.com profile] porcelain999).

Azver is Awesome
So I talked with Kristy a lot on Saturday night via phone while she was at [livejournal.com profile] slosha and [livejournal.com profile] colleeniebeenie's huge party. Eventually it became apparent that dear Kristy was terribly drunk and there was no one about to take care of her.
Fast like fire I called Azver. He answered the phone with a jubilant "[some address] - its an awesome party!! get down here!!!" "I can't I'm in San Fransisco" "oh.." "hey, Kristy's really drunk at a party in davis and there's no one there to take care of her" "whats the address?!"
I didn't even need to ask him [to go take care of Kristy]. Azver is such strong sauce.

Buran Buran
On the way back from SF I repossessed the car from my brother in Berkeley and drove it back here.

Bleh. First day of classes equals me in a bad mood.

Last night, Tuesday night, I finally got the sides of my head reshaved, by my friend Azver. Then went to the eighies party the kids in the Colleges (Courtney, Bree, Christie, Sarina & Adam) were throwing. Well actually then I hurried off to the ASUCD Court meeting, and ended up just walking to the 80s party from there, since Kristy was already there.. so I ended up being the only non-80s person there. Hella people ended up showing up.
Azver came, and I met [livejournal.com profile] stillsheryl AGAIN and she remembers this time, and [livejournal.com profile] pavelthegeek was also quite abundant.

Today I had class from 11:00-12:00 and 14:00-15:00, so during the two hour interim I planned to hang out in the MU breezeway. This plan worked out extremely successfully, since as usual there was an entire table of people I knew already there. And of course it happened that everyone there had livejournals ([livejournal.com profile] pavelthegeek, [livejournal.com profile] codetoad, [livejournal.com profile] dinacloud, [livejournal.com profile] jegskaltisse), and this girl Sally who's lj name I forget.
Then the indie kids set up a rival table ten feet away, where [livejournal.com profile] blushbystander, her boyfriend Jordan Smart and a number of their friends sat. We shook our fists at them.

There were a number of other details I was planning on throwing in, but I'm tired and irritable now so not so much. The end.

Financial Aid
My total financial aid for this quarter is $3,522. "But you're gonna have to pay all that back someday dumbass" you say? Yea well $2,022 of it is in grants, meaning I don't have to pay it back ever. In conclusion, it is excellent to be me.

Addendum
I just changed my listed website here. It formerly pointed to yahoo photos which is getting increasingly and increasingly shoddy, so the new location the link points to is this

Quote of the Day
Amy Z ([livejournal.com profile] jegskaltisse) - "I'm the unofficial co-host of my sister's radio show.. so I'm not allowed to touch anything. But then again we ARE identical twins, they'd never know."

Lurked in my room all day.. almost wrote the daily lj entry at 3pm, assuming nothing would happen. Some things actually did however. Scampered off to the grocery store and ran into Jen Abreu on the way, she gave me a ride the rest of the way in the Abreumobile. Shortly after returning home from that I passed out for awhile ... then at around ten I went to study Russian with [livejournal.com profile] dinacloud. Returning home I stopped by AMPM to get some snackables, and as always the attendant was very obviously stoned out of his mind.

And today, today is the day we bring your attention to Episode III: Eve of a Brave New Year in the Spectrum Diedrichs (How Krisis met Fishis) series.
In this one you can look forward to references to snow in Laguna Beach, muggings in Estonia and rampant four-hour monkey sex. You know you're dying of curiousity now.
And of course, any resemblances of Alfredo, Todd, Bessie, Dustin, Fishis and Krisis, to Alberto, Tom, Jessie, Justin, Fishtofer and Kristofish are entirely coincidental.

AN EXCERPT FROM EPISODE III
Shortly, Todd and Fishis returned, yet Bessie and Alfredo were gone yet longer. Todd was gravely concerned about what they might be doing. Fishis speculated that Alfredo was having relations with her, and Fishis and Krisis did tease Todd on the subject, and they did allege mightily that Bessie and Alfredo were eating clam and exploding sausage, and were starting to convince him of this when who should rise up from the darkness like satan himself but Alfredo, and his dear ex Bessie - buttoning their clothes back up.
