So like, Valery & Allison hooked up apparently.

Today, I give you three pictures... three mondo pictures outside an lj cut!!! Because its just that momentous an occasion. In the picture above, you can see Kristy ([livejournal.com profile] basicallyasap) doin a little dance as she crosses the stage to graduate.

After graduation her family and I went to this fancy little Italian restaurant in nearby Napa Valley for lunch. It was extremely delicious. Then we went to the Mondavi winery. Now, Kristy & I had assumed wine baron Robert Mondavi graduated from Davis, since he buys our school expensive presents like the Mondavi Center, & the Mondavi Institute, but it turns out he actually graduated from Stanford. And in the gallery of stuff about Mondavi at his winery, there aren't any references to the expensive edifices he's built at Davis -- clearly he is having a secret affair with Davis that he doesn't want Stanford to find out about.

Anyway, this next picture from the winery I have selected because it gives a good view of Kristy's adorable mortarboard with polkadots & kitten ears:

Anyway, Thursday night Kristy & I went to a party her friend Candice was having. Unfortunately it appears the shutter on my camera wasn't opening properly so I have no pictures of drunken debauchery from that event to share with you )= I must say though the highlight, what made it stand out from other parties, was that they were barbequeing chicken and it was delicious.
Friday night I just soaked in the fact that I finally didn't have to stress about anything anymore. Spent the evening leisurely reading about 5th Century history without pressure, and played the "Fall of Rome" Civilization III scenario a bit as the Visigoths.
Tonight Kristy's best friend Sashie is having a party, so there will of course be drunken debauchery. I will be dutifully embedded on the front lines of this adventure, just to report for you, the blogosphere!

And here is one more picture for you, Bailey getting into the spirit of graduation.
This is actually from Ben's graduation last December, but I never got around to doing anything with it.

Entry of the Day: Goes to Heather ([livejournal.com profile] emd), mainly because she's heroically returned from the hospital and rejoined the blog-melee asap! Truly a hero to be emulated. Also, she posted a poll, and who doesn't love filling out lj polls, seriously.
Random Picture of the Day: Oftentimes I like to check to see what flickr says the "most interesting" picture of a given tag is. Today I happened to check "graduation," of which over 165,000 pictures were tagged, and the most interesting picture I thought was pretty cool.. so much so that I decided to insert this blurb here to link to it: "Excelsior"

Still Working on a Paper - A hellish torture indeed.
Two Years Ago Today: 2 & 3 of 30 - Blogology II & III - I get off to a running start with my insane 30 in 14 quest with two entries about the very nature of blogging. Some critics, such as my troll-like older brother [livejournal.com profile] nibot would criticize me for being too recursive in this start, but I still think it was a worthwhile discourse. By the time I get to my actual 17th Entry on the 26th, its a concise little entry about how far I am from sanity.
Year Ago Today: 30 in 30 II - 17 - The Dark Side of Driving - On forgotten truths such as that you're supposed to actually drive in the rightmost lane possible rather than cruise in the left, and if you are in the left and there's a slow car in front of you and none to your right, you should not tailgate the car until it takes a hint, but rather you should be travelling in the right lane if its open....
